Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr., widely known as CFA, is a distinguished Nigerian journalist and former television presenter at Channels TV. He has carved a notable niche in the digital marketing landscape and is recognized as a prominent technology entrepreneur, specializing in business coaching and public speaking.

With a career spanning various facets of the tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem, CFA has established itself as a catalyst for innovation and growth. Notably, he hosted Nigeria’s inaugural virtual telehealth conference for CareClick, a leading telemedicine company, themed ‘The Future Of Healthcare Today,’ on September 24, 2020.

CFA’s impact extends to co-founding numerous organizations and entrepreneurial centres. He currently serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Agency for Information and Communication Technology (ICT). His academic background is anchored in sociology, with a degree earned from Ekiti State University in Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

CFA embarked on his professional journey as a Sales Specialist at Globacom in Lagos, Nigeria, where he honed his skills from 2003 to 2007. His tenure as a TV Presenter at Channels TV, and particularly his groundbreaking TV show titled ‘Tech Trends,’ which aired on Fridays at 6:30 pm (GMT +1), played a pivotal role in demystifying technology for viewers.

In addition to his television career, CFA contributed significantly to The Punch newspaper as a columnist, specializing in the ‘ICT Clinic’ section. His expertise and passion for technology became evident when he co-founded GoDoHub (GoDo.ng) in 2018. This innovative startup centre unveiled in Ikeja, Lagos State, empowers entrepreneurs to harness technology and innovation for business success.

In March 2019, CFA assumed the role of Director at The Founder Institute Lagos, a prestigious training school dedicated to nurturing startups through comprehensive entrepreneurship training, addressing critical needs for structure, mentorship, and networking.

CFA’s commitment to fostering innovation led to his pivotal role in establishing the Innovation Support Network (ISN), a collaborative alliance comprising 75 hubs across Nigeria, geared towards advancing entrepreneurship and innovation. As a member of the executive board of directors at the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), CFA contributed his expertise from 2017 to April 2019, and he continues to be an influential figure in the organization.

An embodiment of entrepreneurial zeal and technological acumen, CFA’s contributions extend to his platform, CFAtech.ng. He is the visionary behind ‘CFA’s Startup Hangout,’ a strategic forum facilitating knowledge-sharing among SME startups, enabling them to flourish and network with industry leaders.
